I've been encountering more and more negative stories about Target. The Consumerist is rife with them. First the return policy changed from generous and understanding to draconian. And now it's simply inane.
Anything I actually need I can find someplace else. It won't always be as cheap as Target, though I'll bet just as often the price I find will be lower.

You're not boycotting my beloved Target are you? I'm boycotting the bux, and you've got Target?
(BTW I read the consumerist too and noticed that as well!)
Yeah, the latest story on the Consumerist nails the lid in. http://consumerist.com/tag/target/?i=5020507&t=this-target-coupon-is-made-of-lies
I just read the article. Target isn't to blame in that story (but I have read some other articles on the consumerist about them).
we have been boycotting Target since october. my husband bought a cd there, then noticed it was the censored version. he tried to exchange it for the non-edited version, but the store manager wouldn't do it. he went on and on about pirating music and how they don't to returns on opened cds. we just didn't want beeps instead of swear words when we listen to our music. we're adults, we can handle it. anyway because of that we haven't set foot in the store since. we easily used to spend $100 a month there. they really should have exchanged the cd, but i guess it's their loss now...
oh, and thank you for commenting on my blog: http://threadtrace.wordpress.com
